Concrete Waterproof (Powder) BC 40

BC40 reduces leakage of water into hardened concrete. The product also increases resistance of concrete to frost and corrosive chemicals. Due to its micronized ingredients and being water repellent, it is the best waterproof filter for filling microscopic porous surfaces among concrete elements.

Field of Application

Producing impermeable concretes to water and chemical solutions,
Producing resistant and durable concretes for low temperatures and freezing conditions,
Sealing the concrete in hydraulic structures,
Producing durable concretes for concreting the water resources and reservoirs, retaining walls, water channels, tunnels, bridges, dams, pools, basins and other concrete surfaces.

Reducing permeability and percolation of concrete to water and corrosive chemical solutions,
Increasing the integrity and uniformity of concrete,
Reducing the effects of concrete bleeding and cracking,
Increasing the concrete durability and protecting the bars,

Preventing algae grows on the concrete surface.


Depending on the conditions and consumption cases, in the case of concrete built by using stone and waste materials, use BC40 Up to 2% of cement weight.

Instruction for use

Because the product is insoluble in water, mixing BC40 with dry ingredients of concrete achieves the best result. Therefore, add BC40 to the dry ingredients of concrete and mix them for 5 minutes. Then add water and other ingredients and continue mix operation.

Technical observation and application

The overuse of the product delays the concrete setting,
In high hydrostatic pressure conditions, use BC40 with superplasticizer and water reducing additives. In certain cases, use BC19 or BC17.

 Microscopic porosity in aggregate that results from lack of small materials fill them and developing hairy conduits in concrete through water evaporation are the main reasons for the concrete becomes permeable. Therefore, the most effective scientific and practical method for building an impermeable concrete is using BC40 as a micronized waterproof material to fill microscopic porosities. The product can also be used with a superplasticizer to reduce the ratio of water to cement,
